Full fibre business broadband, also called Fibre to the Premises or FTTP, is a connection that runs fibre optic cable the entire way from the exchange into your building, with no copper at any point. Because data travels as light through glass rather than as an electrical signal over copper, full fibre delivers higher and more consistent speeds than older broadband, including much faster uploads, which matter as soon as a business relies on cloud backups, video calls or large file transfers.
FTTC vs full fibre: the difference that matters

How does full fibre business broadband work?
Full fibre works by running fibre optic cable from the local exchange directly into your building, carrying your connection as light with no copper in the chain. That removes the bottleneck found in older FTTC connections, where a copper section between the street cabinet and your premises caps the achievable speed and slows further the longer that copper run is.
